Our Story

Velocity Education Group began in 2013 as a grassroots initiative led by educator and community leader Marlo Prioleau. What started as a volunteer-driven effort quickly evolved into a mission-driven organization focused on one central goal: helping young people prepare for life after high school.

As a high school teacher, Marlo saw firsthand the challenges students faced when it came to planning their futures. It wasn’t due to a lack of care or effort from educators—but rather a lack of time and dedicated resources.

 

Inspired by this gap, he made a commitment to return to this critical area and bring practical life planning tools back into the schools he once served. From day one, our aim has been clear: to equip students—especially those from underserved backgrounds—with answers to questions that often go unanswered about college, the military, career pathways, and beyond. We began by offering roadmap services and mentorship to guide students through their unique journeys.

As demand grew, so did our impact. Today, Velocity Education Group partners with schools, districts, and youth-serving organizations across the country, offering programs that meet students where they are and help them build actionable, personalized development plans.
