Outcomes & Impact

Real students. Measurable results.

Our curriculum is built on a simple promise: every cohort gets measured, every school gets data, and every claim we make is backed by outcomes — not opinions.

What we measure

Four outcome dimensions. Every cohort. Every year.

01

Post-Secondary Awareness

Do students understand the full range of options after graduation — college, trades, apprenticeships, military, and entrepreneurship?

02

Goal Setting & Self-Direction

Can students articulate a personal vision, break it into steps, and track their own progress?

03

Persistence — Plan to Persist

Are students more engaged — and planning to attend a two- or four-year school to study a trade or earn a traditional degree?

04

Social-Emotional Competencies

Growth across CASEL's five core competencies — measured pre and post.

The persistence story

Why 89% matters.

Nationally, 77.1% of students who start college return for a second year (National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, students who entered in fall 2024). Nearly 1 in 4 don't.

Students who complete Velocity's curriculum persist at 89%.

That 12-point lift isn't about academic prep — it's about self-direction, goal-clarity, and the life-skill readiness schools historically haven't had the curriculum to teach.

The curriculum is well laid out, letting students interact, ask questions, and work alone or in groups. We saw an increase in self-advocacy and decision-making.
